About the artist:

Claire has been working as a professional artist since finishing her degree at UCL in 1997. She has had over 50 solo shows and exhibits throughout the UK, US and Europe in galleries and restaurants. She also has a large number of works in private and corporate collections.

Her work is inspired by a huge range of influences, from art to fashion and architecture. These pieces are inspired by her time spent as a fashion designer, and combine the exaggerated forms of fashion sketches with the painterly feel of life drawings, resulting in a new twist on the traditional forms in painting. The figures may be familiar, as work has been show on television, and in several Fashion and Art magazines. Much of the variety of Claire's work is a result of her extensive and varied training, she has studied, amongst others: Fine Art, Textiles, Fashion and Photography.

The 21st century has so far been very successful for Claire with Grants from the Arts Council allowing her to work and exhibit in New York, London and ( fingers crossed ) Paris in 2008.
